Our Roots
The DAISEY Group believes in the importance of a supportive, inclusive community and strives toward a world where everyone - regardless of their identity - can succeed. Since our founding in 2018, we have been determined to make an impact. The core of our mission is to empower LGBT+ Appalachian State University college students to reach their full potential by supporting them in times of need. Specifically, we raise funds and host a fundraiser event to address the financial abandonment and devastation that many LGBT+ students face when sharing their identity with their family and community. Join us in our quest to ensure that no one is written off and cast out simply because of who they are!

We will be raising money for LGBT+ students at Appalachian State University who are facing impending financial crisis and food insecurity as a result of embracing their identity as an LGBT+ individual. All are welcome at our event as we work together to empower the LGBT+ community.
